Transitional Kindergarten

At Kids On The Go, our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program offers the perfect bridge between preschool and kindergarten, giving your child a strong and confident start to their educational journey.

Transitional Kindergarten

Our TK classrooms are thoughtfully designed to support the unique developmental needs of 4- and 5-year-olds, providing a warm, nurturing environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

With caring teachers, small class sizes, and a hands-on, play-based approach to learning, children at Kids On The Go build early literacy and math skills, develop friendships, and gain the confidence they need to succeed in school and beyond. TK gives your child the gift of time—time to adjust to a structured classroom, develop independence, and build a lifelong love of learning.

Our teachers support learning by developing early reading and writing skills through the exploration of letter sounds, practice of handwriting, and recognition of sight words. TK students also learn how to express their thoughts through drawing and beginning sentences, setting the stage for future literacy. This important year supports social-emotional growth while introducing the structure and routines of a traditional classroom.
